How does insured parcel shipping work?

    Select your option in My PostNL Business

    While pre-ordering your parcel, choose send with signature for receipt or receipt code. Not yet a PostNL customer? Then contact us first.

    Delivery with extra security

    Our delivery driver delivers your parcel securely to the addressee: with signature or receipt code check.

    Keep track of everything easily

    Track your parcel and the chosen option in your Mijn PostNL account.

Signature for receipt

  • Always keep track of who receives your package. Ideal for valuable parcels.
  • Best choice for products like branded sunglasses and electric toothbrushes.
  • Available for all your products. it is not possible to claim electronic products with a value higher than €250 (with the receipt code is).

Receipt code

  • Best choice for expensive (electronic) products, such as phones and laptops. You can claim high-end electronic products.
  • The addressee receives a unique three-digit code by e-mail and shows this to the driver.
  • You can be sure that your valuable package ends up in the right hands.

Good to know: it is mandatory to inform the recipient that PostNL uses the e-mail address to e-mail the receipt code.
