PostNL campaign allows Feestvarken to give more than 400 children a great birthday
Non-profit organisation, Feestvarken vzw wants to give every child a memorable birthday. Unfortunately, some children don't look forward to their birthdays because there's no money to celebrate. For parents and their children growing up under difficult circumstances, this often causes stress and absenteeism. This is why Feestvarken vzw puts together parcels for these children containing presents, treats for their classmates and decorations for at home.
PostNL has supported Feestvarken for many years. At the start of 2021, Feestvarken and PostNL entered into a partnership whereby PostNL provides support by doing what it's good at, i.e. delivering these parcels to give all children a special birthday. PostNL also launches an annual campaign in support of Feestvarken vzw to collect gifts through PostNL points.
The year the PostNL marketing team organised a social media campaign with Belgian footballer Tessa Wullaert, among others. Consumers were able to download a free shipping label to send parcels filled with new toys to Feestvarken vzw. This resulted in twice the number of visitors to Feestvarken's website and enough funds to give 433 children a special day.
“We depend on donations and are very happy when PostNL puts our activities in the spotlight every year,” says Tineke Leffelaer, who works at Feestvarken vzw. “Every donation we receive allows us to give a child that is growing up under difficult circumstances an unforgettable day.”

Every child deserves to celebrate that day without a care in the world.”
