PostNL Belgium fully acquitted in case involving delivery partners, company complies with laws and regulation

Antwerp, Belgium, 28 June 2024 — Today saw a reasoned ruling in the case brought by the prosecutor for the employment courts against the Belgian subsidiary of PostNL three years ago. The core question in this court case was whether PostNL Belgium had acted as employer to the employees of delivery partners involved in this case and/or abused its position as customer in relation to delivery partners. The court acquitted PostNL Belgium on all counts and confirmed that PostNL Belgium had complied with all relevant laws and regulations. The directors of PostNL Belgium were also fully acquitted. PostNL is delighted with this ruling – it is what the company had been counting on.
